The history of the house Seeblick
The first “Haus Seeblick” with 30 places was created in 1991. For younger people with neurological diseases there were hardly nursing homes at that time. Often, only accommodation in senior citizens’ homes was possible. Imagine if you were 30 years old and had a heavy car accident. Would you like to be in an old people’s home? Probably not. The wishes regarding the leisure time, the food and much more are very different. That is why we decided to create a special nursing and therapy facility. In Haus Seeblick, young people now receive special care, therapy and support.
Over the years, demand and requirements for these special facilities have increased considerably. That’s why we started looking around for expansion. Since an extension to the building Krögerskoppel could not be realized, a property was acquired in 2000 at Grambeker Weg 109 in Mölln. 2001 began the construction of a house for 80 people. In the meantime the modern new building has been completed and offers in its spacious rooms excellent living comfort and the latest therapy possibilities.
In the meantime, we have been in contact with other groups such as the local church communities, various self-help groups, political groupings, diverse welfare associations, vocational school classes, kindergartens, etc. We are always happy to visit and support these cooperations.
House and garden
The entire “Haus Seeblick” is designed for the needs of wheelchair users. You will stay in spacious, bright single and double rooms, which you can set up to your own taste. With the exception of two rooms, all rooms have a terrace or balcony. Telephone and TV connection, as well as a disabled-friendly shower room are available in every room.
The bright, friendly lounge areas, an internet corner and the various therapies complete the varied range. And the large hall in the attic is the ideal space for the events in our house. Celebrating parties is part of our concept!
Our garden is wheelchair accessible and offers the possibility for different activities.
Small seating areas invite you to a leisurely break. Our sense garden is particularly beautiful: Here you can relax, stimulate or simply get into conversation with each other in different sensory spaces. You’ll find lots of colorful flower beds, a fragrance garden with cozy seating areas, a pavilion for small talk sessions and tactile games for guessing and puzzling. Our aviary also attracts visitors. It always makes a lot of fun to watch the hustle and bustle of our colorful birds.
